The Nova Poshta postal company plans to expand its network of parcel lockers to 17,000 by the end of 2021. According to the company, this will make the company’s network of parcel lockers the largest in Europe, the CFTS portal reports.

The company currently has a network of 7,045 parcel lockers in 279 settlements in Ukraine.

“Nova Poshta intends to develop a network of parcel lockers. We plan to increase their number to 17,000 by the end of 2021," the company said in a statement.

According to the company, customers most often order clothes and cosmetics through parcel lockers.

"The advantage of parcel lockers for customers is their ‘slipper accessibility’ – parcel lockers are installed close to customers: at entrances to buildings, near grocery stores, etc.," the statement said.

According to the statement, only parcels with actual weights of up to 20 kilograms for which full payment has been made can be picked up from parcel lockers, and the declared value of such parcels should not exceed UAH 6,000.

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, Nova Poshta tested the delivery of parcels with an unmanned aerial vehicle in July this year. The test parcel was flown at a height of 300 meters from the Chaika airfield (Kyiv region) to the Korotych airfield.
