Passenger transportation by Ukrainian transport enterprises (excluding those in the Crimea, Sevastopol, and the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine) reduced by 12.8% to 2.995 billion in the period of January-July 2015, compared with the corresponding period of last year. The Interfax Ukraine news agency reported this, citing the State Statistics Service.

Transport enterprises’ passenger turnover reduced by 9.9% to 55.9 billion passenger-kilometers during this period.

Passenger transportation by rail (including transportation by commuter trains) reduced by 0.5% to 228.5 million in the in the period of January-July 2015, compared with the corresponding period of last year.

Passenger transportation by road reduced by 22.4% to 1.355 billion in January-July 2015, compared with the corresponding period of last year.

Transportation of passengers by water increased by 3.8% to 300,000 in January-July 2015, compared with January-July 2014.

Passenger transportation by air reduced by 7.6% to 3.5 million in January-July 2015, compared with January-July 2014.
