The candidate for the post of prime minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman, has proposed a new government to the BPP parliamentary faction, the Ukrainska Pravda publication reports. The proposed government includes Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian, who is currently the acting Minister of Infrastructure, as the Minister of Infrastructure.

Omelian temporarily headed the Ministry of Infrastructure after Minister of Infrastructure Andrii Pyvovarskyi went on vacation.

Pyvovarskyi announced on 11 December 2015 that he would resign, along with Omelian and First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Shulmeister. Shulmeister wrote his letter of resignation on the same day while Omelian said he would do the same upon the appointment of a new minister.

On 11 January, Pyvovarskyi signed an order relieving Shulmeister of the post in connection with the corresponding Cabinet of Ministers order.
