Minister of Infrastructure Andrii Pyvovarskyi has expressed his vision of the ideal candidate for the post of director of the State Railway Administration (Ukrzaliznytsia) in an interview with the Glavkom publication.

"For me, the ideal is a person who has worked at Deutsche Bahn (the German railway company) for 20 years, rose from the bottom to the top, has with a crystal-clear reputation, and a person who will come in and say, ‘I can,’" Pyvovarskyi said.

According to him, there are talented managers among the 11 nominees for the post of Ukrzaliznytsia director.

This list of nominees has not been published anywhere. "People requested that their names not be mentioned. I think we did the right thing by not announcing the list because even those three had issues with their current employers and the media. Hysteria began. They immediately started digging: who is good, who is bad," said Pyvovarskyi.
