The CFR Infrastructura company, the Romanian railway infrastructure operator, has rehabilitated the railway line from the Valea Viseului border station to the Romanian-Ukrainian border after a series of repairs.
The CFTS portal reported this, citing the Rail Insider publication.
According to available information, approximately 1,400 sleepers were replaced and 400 tons of crushed stone dumped on the railway line. Currently, repairs are continuing on the railway line between Teresva (Ukraine) and Sighetu Marmatiei, (Romania).
It is not yet known when the trains will resume operation.
Train services on these railway lines were discontinued in the mid-2000s.
