The Transinvestservis stevedoring company (Yuzhny port) increased cargo transshipment by 12% to 21.417 million tons in 2013, compared with the previous year. This is the best cargo turnover in the company's history and the best among all the stevedoring companies in Ukraine, the press service of TIS said.
The company processed 610 vessels (more than 30% of them Capesize vessels) at its berths, as well as 293,000 railcars and 61,800 trucks at its terminals.
The company processed 34 types of goods (including new types of goods such as oil, wood, pipes, etc.) in 2013. Its container flows increased by 50% (absolute figures were not provided).
The investment projects implemented by the company include the increase of the capacity of the railway line supplying its terminals by 30%, the launch of two new oil terminals with a combined annual capacity of more than 1 million tons in conjunction with its partners Risoil and Allseeds, increase of its capacity for processing grain cargoes by 30%, the commissioning of a new car-dumper complex (the TIS Coal terminal), and the increase of its locomotive fleet by two new locomotives to 22.
