Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) added a new Boeing 737-800NG aircraft to its fleet on December 22. The new airliner arrived at the Boryspil airport from Reykjavik at 05:00 on December 22.
The airliner made a stop in In Reykjavik on its way from the Boeing factory in Seattle, the CFTS reports.
The 186-seat aircraft with the registration number UR-UIA becomes the 43rd in the Ukrainian airline’s fleet. The airliner is scheduled to perform its first flight on the Kyiv-Amsterdam route on December 28.
The average age of the aircraft in UIA’s fleet is now 10.9 years.
As reported earlier, UIA will also start operating a Boeing-777 wide-body aircraft in February 2018. In total, the airline will add four aircraft of this type to its fleet next year.
In addition, an aircraft formerly owned by the Norwegian airline is being prepared for UIA in Manchester. This aircraft is expected to have the registration number UR-PSZ.
As reported, the Azur Air Ukraine airline also added a Boeing 737-900ER to its fleet on December 21. The airliner with registration number UR-AZB has already started performing flights.
