Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) transported its 50-millionth passenger on November 16. The 50-millionth passenger was Mykhailo Osipchuk, who traveled on the airline’s Flight PS127 from Kyiv to Paris with his family.

"This figure shows that the airline has managed to win the trust of a huge number of customers from Ukraine, Europe, Asia, America, the Middle East, and CIS countries. Our plan is to further improve, win the loyalty of more passengers from around the world, and develop an international the hub in Kyiv together with our strategic partner – the Boryspil International Airport," UIA’s Communications Director Yevhenia Satska said.

UIA was founded in 1992. All the shares in the company are privately owned. UIA has a fleet of 42 aircraft of various modifications, including 30 medium-haul Boeing 737 NGs with an average age of 8.7 years. The average age of UIA’s aircraft fleet is 10.5 years.

As the CFTS reported earlier, the airline intends to add the first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to its fleet in in spring next year, In total, it expects to take delivery of three such aircraft.
