Ukraine imported bituminous coal and anthracite worth USD 548.431 million in the period of January-April 2015, including USD 133.745 million in April. The Interfax Ukraine news agency reported this, citing data from the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
The total volume of coal supplied to the country during these four months is 4.78 million tons, including 2.343 million tons in March.
During that period, coal worth USD 234.025 million was imported from Russia, USD 131.567 million from the United States, USD 46.349 million from Australia, and USD 136.489 million from other countries.
At the same time, Ukraine exported 206,377 tons of bituminous coal and anthracite worth USD 19.283 million in January-April, including 136,686 tons worth USD 10.975 million in April.
As reported, Ukraine imported 14.697 million tons of bituminous coal and anthracite worth USD 1.773 billion and exported 7.047 million tons worth USD 521.017 million in 2014.
