The Ukrainian embassy is negotiating with the Polish government on complete closure of its border with Belarus, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Ukrainska Pravda publication.

"We are negotiating with the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure and the government of Poland on complete closure of the border between Poland and Belarus even if a decision to close the border is not made at the level of the European Union," Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland Andrii Deschytsia said.

In addition, he announced that Ukrainian diplomats are also holding talks with Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

"We have also asked these countries to simultaneously close their borders with Belarus and Russia. I think that if such a decision is made, there will be no need to wait for the European Union’s decision, we will completely block all supplies to Russia," the ambassador said.
