The Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) and the Kriukiv Railcar Building Works signed a contract for the delivery of 95 compartment cars valued at UAH 4.475 billion on 5 June.

This was announced on the website of the ProZorro electronic procurement system, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Liga Business publication.

The Kriukiv Railcar Building Works was the only bidder in the relevant tender, which took place on 15 May.

The deal is worth UAH 5.37 billion, including VAT.

The prepayment is up to 58% or UAH 3.11 billion.

According to the terms of the contract, the Kriukiv Railcar Building Works will manufacture and deliver the following by 31 December 2028: 88 compartment cars of the model 61-779, version 02 (10 four-berth compartments and a train conductor’s rest compartment); 7 locomotive-hauled compartment cars of the model 61-779EGI equipped for transporting wheelchair passengers (8 four-berth compartments and a train supervisor’s compartment).
