The blocking of trains in the Donbas has prevented delivery of nearly 240,000 tons of thermal coal to Ukraine and inflicted losses of UAH 53.5 million on the Donetsk Railway.
Activists have blocked train traffic on three railway stretches and seized three locomotives, 57 empty railcars, and 47 railcars loaded with coal in the Donbas.
According to the Ukrainian Railways public joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia), activists have been blocking the Fenolna-Kryvyi Torets railway stretch since 10 February. They have also seized a locomotive.
Activists also blocked the Kurdiumivka-Bakhmut-2 railway stretch on 2 February and the Shipilovo-Svitlanovo railway stretch on 25 January.
