The Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) has already sent 205 trains as part of the new Intermodal Train service proposed in 2023.
This was stated during a meeting of Ukrzaliznytsia’s Export Office, the CFTS portal reports, citing the publication Rail.insider.
So far, 50 trains to Polish and Romanian ports and 155 to Ukrainian ports have been organized.
The trains run on the Kyiv - Gdansk, Odesa - Gdansk, Dnipro - Gdansk, and Vinnytsia - Gdansk routes.
The Liski Transport Service Center, a branch of Ukrzaliznytsia, operates the unit container trains. The Liski Transport Service Center also facilitates the transportation of cargo in containers through the territories of Ukraine and Poland and the handling of unit trains in the port of Gdansk. Ukrzaliznytsia provides these services in partnership with Ukrzaliznytsia Cargo Poland, Laude Smart Intermodal S.A., PKP Cargo Connect, and others.
