The Ukrainian Railways public joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) intends to introduce full meals on passenger night trains in November 2017.
Ukrzaliznytsia’s acting Board Chairman Yevhen Kravtsov announced this on Twitter, the CFTS portal reports.
"We will offer a fully fledged meal service on night trains in November. The menu will include entrees, sandwiches, snacks, and desserts," Kravtsov wrote.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, a catering company will provide the meals. Passengers will be able to pre-order food when purchasing tickets. In addition, they will be able to purchase their chosen dish directly on the train.
The cost of food will be the same as in medium-price public catering establishments.
Kravtsov recently announced division of passenger transport services into three categories: comfort, standard, and economy.
