Wizz Air, a Hungarian low-cost airline, will launch flights from Odesa to Budapest, Berlin, Gdansk, Bratislava, Wroclaw, and Katowice.

Wizz Air’s Corporate Communications Manager Paulina Gosk announced this at the Odesa airport, the CFTS portal reports.

Gosk announced that operation of flights on the new routes would begin in November this year and they would be operated twice per week.

Odesa is the fourth Ukrainian city from where Wizz Air will operate flights (after Kyiv, Lviv, and Kharkiv).

Odesa is already on the list of points of departure on the carrier’s website. According to Wizz Air’s ticket reservation system, flights to Budapest, Berlin, Gdansk, and Katowice will begin on November 2 (they will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays), flights to Wroclaw on November 1 (Mondays and Fridays), and flights to Bratislava on November 3 (Wednesdays and Sundays).

As reported earlier, Wizz Air’s CEO József Váradi recently said that his company was interested in Odesa but added that it needed to “see the airport in action.”

Meanwhile, Ryanair, another low-cost carrier, has been operating flights from Odesa to Krakow since June 19.
