Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyi has said that everything should be done to ensure that Ukraine can use the Black Sea Grain Initiative’s “grain corridor” even without Russia.

Zelenskyi was commenting on Russia's withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the CFTS portal reports.

"We had two agreements: Ukraine, Turkey, and the UN; the other agreement - Russia, Turkey, and the UN. Therefore, when Russia says it is suspending the implementation of the Black Sea agreements, it is breaking its agreements with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and Turkish President Recep Erdoğan. Not with us. We had no agreements with them," he said.

Zelenskyi added that after Russia’s official announcement, he ordered the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry to prepare official signals to the United Nations and Turkey on whether they are ready to continue implementing the grain initiative.

"We need to do everything to ensure we can use the Black Sea corridor even without Russia. We are not afraid. Companies that own ships have approached us. They said that they are ready and that if Ukraine lets them go and Turkey lets them through, then everyone is ready to continue grain supplies," Zelenskyi said.
