The volume of transportation of agricultural products to the ports of Greater Odesa increased significantly in October, thanks to the opening of a temporary corridor for exporting grain.

Since the beginning of October, 503,800 tons of export grain have been transported by rail.

This was discussed at a meeting of representatives of the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) and grain market participants, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Rail.insider publication.

The volume of transportation of agricultural products towards the ports of Greater Odesa increased significantly in October because of the opening of a temporary corridor for grain exports.

In particular, the figure reached 228,300 tons in the first 11 days of October.

At the same time, 275,500 tons were transported through Ukraine’s western border crossings during this period.

In addition, 519,600 tons of grain have been loaded on the Ukrainian railway network since the beginning of October.

It was also noted at the meeting that the daily loading rate has recently increased to over 60,000 tons.
