Sixty-one ships have left Ukrainian ports since the opening of the safe maritime corridor for the export of Ukrainian grain and food products.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
According to the statement, the ships transported about 1.5 million tons of agricultural products.
As reported, six ships carrying Ukrainian agricultural products left the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi under this grain export initiative on 30 August. In particular, a second vessel chartered by the UN World Food Program to fight hunger around the world has left a Ukrainian port. On board the Karteria bulk carrier is 37,500 tons of wheat for Yemen, which is in a state of humanitarian disaster. According to UN data, 16 million people are suffering from hunger there.
