The ADM company, one of the largest international commodities trading companies, has resumed the processing of oilseeds at its plant in the port of Chornomorsk.

ADM was one of the top ten sunflower processors in Ukraine before Russia's full-scale invasion of the country, but it was forced to shut down operations at the plant and its port terminal in Odesa in February 2022.

The ADM terminal resumed operation after the opening of the "grain corridor" (the humanitarian maritime corridor established under the Black Sea Grain Initiative to allow ships to export grain and other foodstuffs from Ukraine). The company exported over 1 million tons of grain and oil crops from July to December 2022.

According to the publication, the company is only now resuming the operation of its oilseed processing plant. Because of this, ADM has lost its significant share of the Ukrainian oilseed processing market and its significant profits from oilseed processing, considering that the processing profitability is at a fairly high level this season.
