The ProZorro electronic procurement system will begin full operation on 1 August. All government procurements will be made through this electronic platform, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Wednesday.

"The system should go into full operation on throughout the country 1 August," Groysman said.

The Cabinet of Ministers believes that switching public procurements to the ProZorro electronic public procurement system will ensure the most efficient use and saving of state budget funds.

"Our goal today to get the system to work from 1 August without stoppages and to use all state budget funds as efficiently as possible. This will enable us to ensure efficient use of … money. Most importantly, the money that we will save will remain in the country’s budget,” Groysman said.

As reported, the Ministry of Infrastructure saved more than UAH 100 million from March 2015 to March 2016, thanks to the ProZorro system.
