Another ship carrying Ukrainian agricultural products has arrived in Yemen. France, Spain, and the United States donated the grain as humanitarian aid.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
The ship is carrying 30,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat.
"Currently, 541,700 tons have already been delivered to poor countries under humanitarian programs, including 170,000 tons under the Grain from Ukraine program and 371,100 tons under the UN WFP program," the statement said.
According to the statement, 27.73 million tons of Ukrainian agricultural products have been shipped from Ukraine since the launch of the Black Sea Grain Initiative (which established a humanitarian maritime corridor to enable ships to export grain and other foodstuffs from Ukraine).
About 800,000 tons of agricultural products, mostly wheat, went to low-income countries (Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, etc.) and 4.46 million tons, including 2.51 million tons of wheat and 1.16 million tons of corn, went to countries with below-average income (Bangladesh, Kenya, Lebanon, Vietnam, etc.).
