A caravan of five vessels and another vessel transporting Ukrainian grain to Libya have left the ports of Greater Odesa under the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which established a humanitarian maritime corridor to allow ships to export grain and other foodstuffs from Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Ministry for Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
"The Brave M bulk carrier, which is transporting 27,500 tons of agricultural products to Libya, joined a caravan of five other vessels exporting 244,000 tons of agricultural products from the ports of Greater Odessa to the countries in Asia and Europe," the statement said.
According to the statement, over 1 million tons of Ukrainian agricultural products are currently being loaded onto 27 ships in the ports. Four additional ships are traveling through the humanitarian maritime corridor to Ukrainian ports.
"There is a steady queue of 90 vessels in the Bosporus because 5-7 inspections are performed daily, with a minimum of 12 required per day," the ministry said.
Since 1 August, 580 vessels carrying 15 million tons of Ukrainian agricultural products to countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe have left the ports of Greater Odesa.
