The Antonov state aircraft manufacturing enterprise plans to resume serial production of the An-148, An-158, and An-178 aircraft in 2019, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Ministry of Economic Development & Trade.

"The Antonov state aircraft manufacturing enterprise plans to continue the implementation of its import substitution program (replacement of Russian components with Ukrainian components and components from Canada, China, and the United States) and resume serial production of An-148, An-158, and An-178 aircraft in 2019," the ministry stated.

According to the ministry, aircraft manufacturing enterprises have been exempted from paying certain taxes and fees. "Support for the development of the aircraft manufacturing industry is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Economic Development & Trade and the government of Ukraine. In particular, aircraft manufacturing enterprises were exempted from paying import duties and VAT on technical instruments and equipment for production of aircraft equipment at our initiative one year ago to allow more funds to be spent on modernization of existing products and production of new ones," First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv said.

As the CFTS portal reported, the Cabinet of Ministers recently approved the Antonov state aircraft manufacturing enterprise’s financial plan for 2019. The document provides for net revenues of UAH 6,122 billion and a net profit of UAH 806.3 million.
