The monitoring group “Belarusian Gayun” and the Telegram channel "Community of Railwaymen of Belarus" believe that Belarus may be preparing to receive military trains from Russia because the railway is being prepared, the CFTS portal reports.

"Is the Belarusian railway preparing to receive military trains from the Russian Federation?" they wrote.

In particular, according to them, a set of measures involving the checking of the Belarusian railway is being taken:

- inspections of loading (unloading) areas at railway stations with the participation of officials from branches of the Belarusian Railway and the commandant's offices of the Russian Armed Forces’ Military Transport Organization;

- repairs of loading and unloading platforms (if necessary), as well as preparation of automobile approach roads to loading and unloading areas at train stations;

- securing of shunting locomotives at railway stations;

- drafting of timetables for the movement of military trains on the Belarusian Railway (after the provision of a plan for military rail transport), etc.

"All these actions may indicate that preparations to receive military trains from the Russian Federation are underway," the monitoring group wrote.

According to the report, trains will use the following railway border crossings:

Krasnoye – Osinovka;

Slinka – Kopitye;

Zaverezhzhie – Yezerishche.
