The most punctual airlines at the Boryspil international airport (Kiev) during the past winter navigation period have been named, the press service of the airport announced.

The most punctual carrier in the category of "7 or more flights per week" was LOT (Poland). All the flights of this airline company were performed on schedule with 97.8% regularity. In the category of "2 to 6 flights a week," the leader was Estonian Air with 94.8% regularity.

LOT operated regular flights to Warsaw during the winter while Estonian Air operated regular flights Tallinn.

The administration of the Boryspil airport determines the most punctual carriers twice a year at the end of every six-month navigation season. Airlines that operate regular and charter flights to/from the airport can participate in the competition.

The "punctuality" of airlines is measured in percentages over a specific period. This indicator is calculated as the ratio of the total number of timely departures (or departures delayed by less than 15 minutes) to the total number of flights that an airline operates at the airport.
