The Boryspil international airport has started a pilot project involving organization of the operations of taxis. According to the press service of the airport, a "special technology that guarantees provision of at least five cars in the first row in front of the Terminal D 24 hours a day has already been developed."

"All drivers whose cars are currently in the first row have undergone the mandatory ICAO course on aviation security and obtained the relevant certificates," the press service quoted the airport’s General Director Yevhen Dykhne as saying.

According to him, every passenger that leaves the terminal will now be able to get into a car in the first row and be confident of receiving "quality services at market rates."

According to the press service, passengers can submit proposals to the airport authority on the operation of the service or complaints about inconveniences.

The airport is also indefinitely accepting applications to operate in the first row from taxi operators. Transportation to/from the airport will be performed by licensed carriers, using cars with large luggage compartments. Payment for the services will be made upon arrival at the passenger’s destination and exclusively based on taximeters.
