The volume of passenger traffic through the Boryspil airport was 2,654,845 in the period of January-March 2019, which is 15% more than the volume in the corresponding period of last year (2,305,528).
The CFTS portal obtained these figures from the Boryspil airport.
The airport handled 2,238,952 passengers on regular flights in the first three months of this year (a 22% increase compared with the corresponding period of last year) and 415,893 on unscheduled flights (11% reduction).
The number of transfer passengers handled by the airport increased by 5.8% to 670,840 in the period of January-March 2019, compared with the corresponding period of last year. Transfer passengers accounted for 25.3% of the total number of passengers handled by the airport in the period of January-March 2019, compared with 27.5% in the corresponding period of last year.
The volume of passenger traffic through the airport increased by 16% to 964,240 in March this year, compared with 834,133 in the corresponding period of last year.
As the CFTS portal reported, passenger traffic through Ukraine’s main airport also increased by 16% to 793,413 in February 2019, compared with February 2018.
The Boryspil airport handled 12,603,271 passengers in 2018. The number of transfer passengers increased by 17% during the year.
