Cargo transshipment at the Odessa seaport increased by 11% to 2.032 million tons in January, compared with the same month last year. The press service of the port announced this in a statement, citing operational data.
The increase was due mainly to the ferrous and nonferrous metals, transshipment of which increased 2.7 times to 497,300 tons. The flow of grain cargoes reduced by 16.4% to 506,800 tons.
Transshipment of bulk cargoes and containers (in TEU terms) remained practically unchanged at 507,100 tons (508,100 tons a year ago) and 30,765 TEU (30,630 TEU a year ago).
