The volume of cargo transported by water in Ukraine increased by 8.4% to 6.4 million tons in 2015, compared with a year earlier, the State Statistics Service announced in a statement.
The turnover of cargo increased by 0.1% to 5.434 billion ton-kilometers.
As reported, cargo transportation volumes by all other modes of transport, except water, reduced in 2015.
The volume of cargo transportation by all modes of transport in Ukraine reduced by 10.6% to 601 million tons in 2015, compared with 2014. The cargo turnover reduced by 6% to 315.342 billion ton-kilometers.
These figures do not include data from the Russia-annexed Crimea and the militant-controlled parts of the Donbas.
