The volume of cargo transshipment through the Ilyichevsk seaport (Odessa region) increased by 11.5% to 6.157 million tons in the period of January-April 2015, compared with the corresponding period of last year, according to data from the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine.
The volume of transshipment of liquid bulk cargo through the port increased by 14.3% to 686,000 tons in January-April this year, compared with the volume in January-April last year. The volume of transshipment of petroleum products reduced by 44.6% to 75,000 tons and the volume of transshipment of oil increased 1.3-fold to 597,000 tons.
The volume of transshipment of dry cargo through the port increased by 47.1% to 4.267 million tons, including 78,000 tons of coal (a reduction of 53.9%), 1.676 million tons of ore (a 2.9-fold increase), and 1.663 million tons of grain (an increase of 11.4%).
The volume of transshipment of unitized cargo through the Ilyichevsk seaport reduced by 40.4% to 1.204 million tons. The port also handled 307,000 tons of heavy trucks (-30.3%) and 318,000 tons of pig iron (-39.7%). The volume of container transshipment through the port was 27,600 TEU (a 64.2% reduction).
