Cargo turnover at commercial and fishing ports, as well as at industrial sea berths, in Sevastopol reduced by 51.3% to 2.01 million tons in the first eight months of 2014, compared with the corresponding period of 2013. The PortNews publication reported this, citing the press service of the Federal Statistics Service on Sevastopol.
They handled 1.37 million tons of export cargoes, 491,300 tons of transit cargoes, 61,100 tons of internal (coastal) cargoes, and 5,000 tons of import cargoes.
They processed 158 vessels, including 96 foreign and chartered vessels.
Water transport enterprises transported 407,500 passengers in August 2014, which is 46.0% fewer than they transported in August 2013. In total, 3.46 million passengers used water transport services in the first eight months of this year.
