Construction of a multi-level parking lot in front of the Boryspil airport’s Terminal D resumed in early July, the press service of the airport has announced.
The opening of the parking lot is planned for the third quarter of 2014.
The three-level parking lot with 2,038 automobile spaces will be connected to the Terminal D and to the Air Express station by a pedestrian crossing. There will also be a bus service to the complex.
The central building of the parking lot will have four floors and an underground section. Inside the building there will have a lobby with elevators for passengers and cargoes, stairs for passengers, toilets, maintenance premises, and administrative premises for attendants. Each floor will have facilities for storage of luggage carts.
Information about vacant spaces, tariffs, and the parking features for this zone will be displayed on a board at the entrance to each level. Two parking control points will be located at each level - one at the entrance and one at the exit. Vehicles will be registered automatically.
Payment will be made through multi-use cards and single-use customer tokens. There will also be automatic pay stations.
The parking lot will be equipped with a system for "video capture" and recognition of license plates of vehicles; video surveillance will be automatic.
