The Dniproavia airline will begin flights to Bulgaria on 30 December by launching regular Kyiv-Sofia flights, avianews.com informs.

According to the flight timetable, the airline’s aircraft will initially fly from Boryspil to Sofia once per week. The first flights are scheduled for 30 December and 6 and 13 January. On 19 January 2016, the frequency of the flights will be increased to twice a week - they will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays until 12 March.

The travel time is two hours. An Embraer 145 regional aircraft will be operated on the route.

According to the reservation system, flights in both directions cost approximately UAH 8,000, including charges. Tickets with relatively short connecting flights at airports in the European Union will cost about the same amount.

Wizz Air Ukraine and Ukraine International Airlines launched flights from Kiev to Sofia in 2013. However, Wizz Air Ukraine has stopped operations while Ukraine International Airlines no longer operates flights to Sofia.
