The Dniproavia airline has canceled its plan to launch flights on the Kyiv-Ljubljana (Slovenia) route on June 27, the Slovenian embassy in Ukraine has announced.

The carrier has confirmed this information without disclosing its reasons.

Dniproavia operates regular and charter flights to countries in Europe, the Middle East, and the CIS. The Privat financial and industrial group owns the airline.

The existing intergovernmental agreement between Ukraine and Slovenia allows several carriers to operate flights on the Kyiv-Ljubljana route without restrictions on the frequency of flights.

As reported, it was announced in March this year that Dniproavia would resume direct flights on this route, which ceased in 2012. The flights were scheduled to be operated thrice a week, using an Embraer 145 aircraft.
