The Ukrzaliznytsia public railway company and the DTEK company have signed an agreement under which the latter will repair locomotives for the former. The DTEK Energy company’s Director of Logistics Orest Lohunov announced this at a meeting with reporters on Tuesday, 15 November, the CFTS reports.
Under the agreement, DTEK will repair three locomotives will its own funds. These locomotives are assigned to the Donetsk railway, but they will operate on territory controlled by Ukraine after the repair.
The company is hoping that the repaired locomotives will engage in transporting its cargoes up to 80% of the time. However, according to the company, all companies will have access to the locomotives and this will be determined by Ukrzaliznytsia.
