A meeting of the board of governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) took place at the Odessa seaport on Tuesday, 2 June. All the directors of the EBRD (15) gathered at the port for the first time, the press service of the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine (ASU) said.

The familiarization visit of the EBRD began at 08:30.

The aim of the event was to familiarize bankers with the port’s development prospects, as well as with the progress of the construction of a grain terminal by the Brooklyn-Kiev company.

As reported, the EBRD is the creditor for this project. The financial institution, Brooklyn-Kiev, and the Louis Dreyfus Commodities trading company signed a trilateral loan agreement worth USD 60 million on 29 July 2014. These funds are being spent on development of a grain terminal with a capacity of 4.5 million tons per year at the Odessa seaport.
