An electronic queue management system for vehicles (e-Queue systems) is being launched at 16 border crossings on Ukraine’s western border.

Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

According to him, truck drivers will be able to use the system from next week, bus drivers from July, and car owners from August.

After registering through the relevant computer/smartphone application, a user will receive a message containing information about his status in the queue, the progress of the queue, and his time of arrival at the border crossing.

"The advantages of e-Queues for Ukrainians: a simple sequence of actions, a minimum effort by the user, and saving of time. The advantages for businesses: reduction of losses because of idling and optimization of business processes," the statement said.
