A group of experts including representatives from Deloitte Ukraine, Talent Advisors, and EBS has completed consultations with the Ministry of Infrastructure on selection and assessment of candidates for the post of general director of the State Railway Administration (Ukrzaliznytsia), the Interfax Ukraine news agency reports, citing the press service of the Ukrainian office of Deloitte.

Based on the results of the project, a short list of candidates recommended for consideration for these positions was sent to the Minister of Infrastructure.

According to the press service, the expert group directly selected resumes from all interested candidates after the ministry publicly invited applications for the open positions. In total, 233 resumes were submitted.

After a review, a longlist of 11 candidates to head Ukrzaliznytsia was compiled and recommended for interviews. The candidates that made the longlist were later interviewed by representatives of the expert group and the deputy minister of infrastructure. As a result, a shortlist of three candidates recommended to the minister of infrastructure for submission to the nomination committee was compiled.

"Right now, the candidates are preparing packages of documents, including their visions of reforms, a 100-day program, and motivational essays. The minister is expected to make the final decision on presentation of candidates to the nomination committee next week after familiarizing himself with their programs. After that, the names of the candidates will be made public," the press service said.

Experts are also saying that the process of evaluation of candidates for the posts of directors of the Boryspil airport, the Lviv airport, and the Ukrposhta postal agency is still ongoing.
