The Ministry of Infrastructure’s commission for competitive selection of heads of state enterprises selected four candidates for the position of general director of the Boryspil international airport on 12 November, the press service of the ministry announced in a statement.
The candidates selected for the next stage of the competition are Valentyn Vizant (Aero-Active, Moldova), Yurii Solonchuk (the director of the Ukraina state aircraft enterprise), Piotr Ikanovich (Ukraine International Airlines’ vice president for finance), and Serhii Hombolevskyi (a former head of the Boryspil airport).
The airport will definitely have a new general director because its current acting general director Yevhen Dykhne failed to qualify for the next stage of the competition.
As reported, 17 candidates applied to participate in the competition, but the commission decided that only 11 candidates met the qualification requirements. The final four candidates were selected from these 11 candidates.
The short-list of four candidates will now be submitted to a commission of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade for further consideration. This procedure for selecting the heads of state enterprises that are important to the economy was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
