Georgian Airways will begin the new winter flying season with flights from the Kiev (Zhuliany) airport to Batumi and Tbilisi on 2 November. The flights will be operated on Mondays and Thursdays, the press service of the airport announced.
The airline may also operate transit flights on the Tbilisi-Batumi-Kiev route or the Kyiv-Tbilisi-Batumi route.
"A transit flight is interesting because a passenger who buys a ticket to Tbilisi can stay in Batumi for a few days and then fly to Tbilisi, and this does not affect the cost of the ticket. In the reverse direction, there are also options: either fly to Kiev on transit through Batumi or spend several days in Batumi and then return to Kiev. The main thing is to plan the trip in advance and specify the days of flights when buying a ticket," the press release states.
Only the YanAir airline currently operates flights from the Kiev airport to Georgia (the airline operates flights to Batumi and Tbilisi).
