The head of the state-owned Ukrainian Seaport Authority (USPA), Yurii Lytvyn, has said that the company's specialists are taking organizational and administrative measures to launch grain transshipment in the roadstead of the Ust-Danube seaport, the CFTS portal reports.
These measures are being taken to increase the volume of cargo handling at the seaports in the Danube region.
The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has amended the Resolution No. 1274 of 07.10.2009 "On the Boundaries of the Ust-Danube Seaport" to add the new geographical coordinates of the location of anchorages near the Bystre River’s estuary to facilitate the transshipment of grain cargo from the Ust-Danube and Izmail seaports onto Panamax vessels.
