The Ministry of Infrastructure has announced the financial results of the state-owned seaports in Ukraine.
"In the first half of 2013, the revenues of the state-owned seaports in Ukraine amounted to UAH 2.8315 billion and their net profit amounted to UAH 403.070 million," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry did not provide other financial data, including comparative data for the period of January-June 2012.
As reported, there are 18 state-owned merchant seaports in Ukraine. One-third of them are located in the Odessa region, including the Odessa seaport, which is the largest in the country. The combined net profit of state-owned merchant seaports reduced by 0.4% to UAH 1.4 billion in 2012.
