The overhaul of two bridges on the T04-03 Marianske-Beryslav highway in the Kherson region is scheduled to begin in 2019.

Ukraine’s Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian announced this during a working visit to the Kherson region, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Business Censor publication.

"Regarding these two bridges, we are planning the following schedule: a decision will be made to allocate UAH 50,000 for each at a session of the regional council on April 25; we will invite tenders in early May; we will approve redistribution of funds in May with the aim of finding funds for financing the start of work. We … should complete the overhaul of these two bridges next year," Omelian said.

According to the Kherson region’s Governor Andrii Hordeev, UAH 69 million is needed for overhaul of the two bridges.

The minister inspected the problem sections of the T04-03 Marianske-Beryslav highway in which the bridges are located.

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the government will allocate UAH 90 million for restoration of a bridge in the Poltava region. The bridge, which is located near Poltava, is collapsing because it is used of vehicles overloaded with grain and oil products.
