The Polish company Kombud is ready to participate in the reconstruction of the Ukrainian railway infrastructure, particularly by supplying railway signaling systems.
Szymon Kniaz, Director of International Cooperation at Zakłady Automatyki Kombud announced this to a CFTS journalist during a visit to the company's plant in Radom.
According to Kniaz, such cooperation with the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) would be particularly appropriate during the post-war reconstruction period, and modern European railway signaling systems would be a good alternative to outdated Russian systems.
"This is undoubtedly one of the biggest opportunities for us not only because of the terrible destruction of the infrastructure caused by the war but also because Ukraine used to receive some components from Russia. I am confident that Polish products would be a good substitute. We are open to cooperation. We offer European standards and are ready to facilitate the integration of Ukrainian railways into Europe," said Kniaz.
Kombud has been operating in the market for over 30 years, offering solutions for railway traffic control systems, signaling, and solutions for subway and railway rolling stock. The company's products are used in over 300 railway and subway stations in Poland and other EU countries.
