The volume of sales of liquefied gas (LPG) is comparable to the volume of consumption of gasoline this year, and it will exceed it in 2017. The A-95 consulting agency’s Director Serhii Kuiun announced this at the “Petroleum Ukraine 2016” conference on Tuesday, the CFTS correspondent reports.
"Liquefied natural gas in liters will be sold in the same volume as gasoline in 2016. Sales of liquefied natural gas will exceed sales of gasoline next year," said Kuiun.
According to the A-95 consulting agency, consumption of liquefied natural gas in Ukraine has increased 1.6-fold since 2013. In particular, 0.8 million tons of liquefied natural gas was sold in Ukraine in 2013 and 1.1 million tons in 2015. The agency’s analysts are forecasting that sales will increase by 26.3% to 1.4 million tons in 2016.
The main suppliers of liquefied natural gas to Ukraine are Poland, Italy, Sweden, and Egypt.
