Chornotysiv Terminal LLC, which operates as a new multimodal terminal, a so-called dry port, has started operations in the Berehove district of the Zakarpattia region.
The head of the Zakarpattia regional military administration, Viktor Mykyta, announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
"Its primary function is to handle various types of cargo—not only agricultural products and oil but also, in the future, petroleum products—for subsequent transportation to recipients in all parts of the world," he said.
The terminal is close to the borders of Hungary and Romania, two member states of the European Union.
"The company is ramping up production processes and plans to significantly increase the volume of cargo handled by 2025," Mykyta said.
The company's production area covers 14.1 hectares. The total amount of investments to date is about UAH 282 million.
