A new freight ferry called Sevastopol (previously Ulusoy 6) began operating on the freight ferry line Novorossiysk- Feodosiya-Novorossiysk on July 3. The press office of the United Transport Directorate, the shipping operator in the Crimea, announced this in a statement.
"With a capacity of up to 83 trucks, the Sevastopol ferry is identical to the Novorossiysk ferry. These ferries will facilitate transportation of trucks instead of the Poseidon Express and the Altai vessels that operated previously," the statement said.
Freight ferries transported about 7,500 trucks on the routes Novorossiysk- Feodosiya-Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik-Kerch fishing port-Gelendzhik in the period from June 1 to 30.
