The regional express train will operate four days a week: on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. The distance between the terminal stations is 140 kilometers, and it will take 1 hour 45 minutes to cover it.
The train will depart from Lviv at 12:25 and arrive in Ivano-Frankivsk at 14:10. It will depart from Ivano-Frankivsk at 14:32 and arrive in Lviv at 16:22. The diesel train will not stop at stations between the two cities. Ticket prices begin at UAH 111.
"The timetable of the regional express train No. 704/703 offers convenient connection for those traveling from Kyiv to Ivano-Frankivsk and vice versa because the Darnytsia-Truskavets high-speed train No. 741 arrives in Lviv at 11:59 and the Truskavets-Darnytsia train No. 742 departs from Lviv at 17:30. Thus, passengers will be able to cover the distance between the capital and Ivano-Frankivsk in less than 8.5 hours," the press release states.
As reported, the Lviv Railway bought the diesel train from the Kryukov Railcar Building Works in September. It began operating between Lviv and Chernivtsi on 5 October and it will begin operating on the Lviv-Chernivtsy-Lviv and the Lviv-Ivano-Frankivsk-Lviv routes on 13 December 13.
