The Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) provided air navigation services for 234,861 flights in 2015, which is 32.4% less than the number in 2014, the enterprise said in a press release.

The number of flights operated by Ukrainian airlines reduced by 10.8% to 69,628 and the number of flights operated by foreign airlines reduced by 38.7% to 165,233.

The number of transit flights reduced by 45.1% to 117,487, the number of international flights reduced by 10.8% to 95,504, and the number of domestic flights reduced by 18% to 21,870.

The largest number of takeoffs and landings handled by UkSATSE were at the Kyiv airports of Boryspil and Zhuliany – 70,121 (a 3.7% reduction) and 19,817 (a 20.5% reduction), respectively. The number of takeoffs and landings that UkSATSE handled at the Odesa airport reduced by 6.1% to 11,863, the number it handled at the Dnipropetrovsk airport by 22.9% to 8,852, the number it handled at the Lviv airport by 6.1% to 7,295, and the number it handled at the Kharkiv airport by 34.8% to 4,113. At the same time, the number of takeoffs and landings it handled at the Zaporizhia airport increased by 29.7% to 3,962.

UkSATSE provided the highest volumes of services to Ukraine International Airlines (41,003 flights, an 11.8% increase), Turkish Airlines (22,440 flights, a 0.3% reduction), and Belavia (10,522 flights, a 21.4% reduction). In addition, it provided a significant volume of services to Aeroflot airlines (7,376 flights, a 56.7% reduction), LOT airlines (7,042 flights, a 6.3% reduction), Siberia airlines (4,908 flights, a 9.4% reduction), Air Moldova (4,804 flights, a 2.2% increase), Transaero airlines (4,309 flights, a 65.5% reduction), and Pegasus airlines (4,273 flights, a 23.2% increase).

UkSATSE is the main air navigation system in Ukraine. It unites the country’s civil and military air traffic control systems.
