The Odesa Port Plant has launched production of ammonia and urea.
The Odesa Port Plant’s First Deputy General Director Mykola Schurykov announced this in a statement on Facebook, the CFTS portal reports.
"The Odesa Port Plant has resumed production of ammonia and urea after more than one year out of operation. Although there are still a few days of hassle ahead, we can say that we are at the finish line," Schurykov wrote.
According to him, the plant resumed operation under a tolling contract for processing raw materials supplied by the Agro Gas Trading company.
“According to this contract, the minimum period of cooperation between the two companies will be four months with the possibility of further extension by agreement with the supervisory board of the Odesa Port Plant. The plant will receive about 60 million cubic meters of gas per month,” he wrote.
As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the Odesa Port Plant planned to resume operation on August 1. The resumption of the plant’s operation was made possible by an agreement with the Naftogaz of Ukraine national oil and gas company, to which the Odesa Port Plant owes about UAH 1.5 billion.
